6 + 2 Point Deductions

This isnt over... there is still a second breach to this that has been deferred and not heard yet... still could get even more points deducted

Second, at a later time, the Commission will determine whether there has been anyfurther breach of the PSR in respect of: (a) the retrospective capitalisation of £6,561,000in FY21 and FY22 and (b) the capitalisation of interest relating to FY23, as alleged bythe PL’s amendment. Accordingly, a further hearing will follow. It therefore remains tobe determined whether Everton has exceeded the Upper Loss Threshold by any furtheramount regarding the interest capitalised in FY21, FY22 and FY23. We accept that thisdefers the resolution of part of this dispute. The Commission is acutely aware that thereare many stakeholders – to name some: the PL, Everton, the Everton fans, all other-8-Premier League clubs, the public – interested in the speedy determination of thesedisciplinary proceedings. Nevertheless, in fairness to the parties in these proceedings, the Commission decided that the issues which remain cannot be dealt with inaccordance with the timetable set out in the Standard Directions. The StandardDirections will not, therefore, apply to the remaining issues
If we got this capitalisation of interest into our statutory accounts, surely disputing it will mean going up against an audit opinion? Which would be a very large can of worms.

Got to appeal this one and try to get it reduced or suspended, then if this extra bit gets punished, it will be minor. Be tough to claim we’ve sought to mislead when we have just treated the interest as per our audited financial statements?

That language seems to suggest that'll be dealt with in the close season / next season - and therefore any sanction will be applied to 24/25.

If they can't fit the timetable set by the league - to ensure this is wrapped up by the time the season ends - then that is surely the only possible outcome...

If Usmanov were any other nationality we'd be 8 points better off.

If we weren't building a new stadium we'd be 8 points better off.

If we'd been gifted a stadium like City or West Ham's terms we'd be 8 points (and hundreds of millions of pounds) better off.

Forest overspend by buying 40+ players and they are 4 points better off than us.

Absolute joke.

The fact there is still a charge to be considered is very worrying.
Every Everton fan can be forgiven for thinking they will see how many points we survive by (assuming we do) and then sink us after the season has ended.
That charge would only result in 1 point maximum so will only matter if we stay up on goal difference
