A boy born and bred in Everton, went to St Georges Church school and was squeezed under the Goodison Road turnstile in 1953 at the age of 3 by my Dad - who sadly died tragically young at the age of 37 - and was smitten for life who "emigrated" to Huddersfield in 1969 raised two boys and 3 grandchildren, all boys who all support the Toffees despite living miles away from Goodison. One son and Grandson have season tickets despite a 450 mile round trip for every game and are resident in the People's Club which provides me with the opportunity to attend some matches and how lucky I've been so far. Chelsea, Sunderland & Aston Villa home matches attended with my son now stating that I'm a lucky omen which I hope continues with the visit of Crystal Palace match that I'm also attending. My favourite all time Evertonian has to be Alan Ball whom I named my eldest boy after and is the reason why I failed my first Bus Driver's test as I heard he was being sold to Arsenal on the morning of my test. Lucky enough to attend the 66 World Cup final which a certain Alan Ball played a not insignificant part. Also lucky enough to meet Ray Wilson who lives near me in Huddersfield
