I think Moshiri still wanted the club and hoped sanctions would be dropped by the end of the season so he’d have cash again from Usmanov so he put this in place as a temporary solution and it gave 777 publicity and made them seem bigger than they were (not that that worked )

If a sale would have gone through to these systers then I’m convinced it would’ve been the end of us.

But they never had the money the buy us in the first place. Moshiri will have known this. The PL could never sign off the sale if the prospective owners cannot show they have the funds to run the club.

For me this is just one of them mate, the public are fed one story while there are shady dealings going on all the while.

The public story is that Moshiri is the money behind Everton but it's one of the worst kept secrets in all of football that it was Usmanov until Russia invaded Ukraine.
