New Poll... are you in favour of 777 Partners acquiring Everton FC

I see the Esk is up to his old tricks of stirring the pot again about issues with 777s airline investment.

While there are real concerns about 777s intentions and ability to fund Everton, I would ask simply and plainly, what is the alternative?

If we do not sell to them then we have an Owner in Moshiri who has lost all interest and lost a major source of funding/revenue because of the war in Ukraine.

All in all, I don’t disagree with some of what the Esk says but I think he relies too much on the tactics of mainstream media which is scaremongering and doom news.

He portrays himself to be a big player in terms of finance but he doesn’t offer anything but negativity to our fanbase. All this at a time when admittedly there is a lot to be negative about but as fans we just need to ignore the noise and focus on our role of supporting the team.

I for one am fed up with being expected to know and care about amortisation and our accounts over a rolling three year period.

Like a lot on here, I was brought up an Evertonian by my dad and while he may have a lot to answer for, he brought me up to be a fan of the football side of things not the finances.

so why secret as other poster said?

I simply responded to the notion that there weren't other interested parties as I thought it was fairly common knowledge that there were.... which was even confirmed by the club (I'm not sure if the minutes have been published from that meeting yet). The club hasn't identified them by name and I was told a name in confidence by 2 people who have been approached or involved in the process to date. So, I can only assume that information is still commercially sensitive, so I'm certainly not going to be the one to jeopardise that. Colin Chong said there was more than one other interested party. Like everyone else, I've no idea what is holding up their approach (if there is anything), again I can only assume some legal or contractual obligations/agreements with 777 and the current sale process. Or perhaps they're waiting to see what happens with relegation or the Premier league conditions, which I believe they've said they can satisfy. These particular people are not from India.

so 777 must be going through?
if therye was another consortium they would of given up as moshiri doesn’t want to sell to them IF they’re is one

Well we know the 777 sale process was signed up to months ago. During that time they have provided funds to keep the club running. So far, they haven't been able to satisfy the Premier League conditions, and are currently looking to secure a loan to do so. We have no idea what the terms of that sale or the loans to date are. Just as MSP were blocked by the terms of a previous loan deal clause, perhaps, while that is all going on, these other interested parties can only watch from the sidelines. ..... but that is only guess work on my part.

Tom , I wouldn't expect you to breach confidences but are these proposed / possible new owners serious people , people we would have heard of and would they give Evertonians hope for the future that the club would get properly managed under their stewardship?

Teamtalk + "777 sources" = a massive pinch of salt. But logically if they do sort the MSP loan they probably will get approval. If they couldn't satisfy the other requirements they wouldn't even be trying.

This doesn't seem like news, they still need to pay the loan.

watching tho mate whilst these vultures get us!

This lot will be the final nail in the coffin. Will sell all of our sellable players (brainthwaite, onana, pickford) and mortgage the stadium. Probably jack up costs for season tickets, etc
