So 777 are trying to sell Standard Liege and Red Star. Wonder why?? An utter joke this lot.

Well none of that is going to happen quickly.

The sale of Liege I could actually understand, was thinking the other day it doesn’t really fit with their other clubs which are either massive markets or struggling historically big clubs and have a lot of potential. Liege are pretty low ceiling and possibly not worth the ballache.

Selling Paris would concern me more. That’s one with a lot of potential, in terms of the catchment area for both fans and playing talent, and it’s going well. They’d be a beneficial club to have in this kind of structure.

When did they buy Paris ?

It just goes to show, they have no interest in a multi club model, they just want to flip clubs until they get one of higher value.

I agree, what good is the multi club model and all the benefits if they are losing 2, how many more? Surely losing clubs evaporates the competitive advantage.

WIth the mega rich owners coming in to the game, not one is prepared to buy Everton and clear the debts and finish the stadium at c£1bn, when the stadium is built the club will be worth more than that, in 1 or 2 years if the football structure is better and cash improves from not having those big loans ties around our necks it could we worth significantly more.

For a £1bn outlay you could have a club worth £2bn or more in 2 or 3 years... yet we are going to be sold to 777 with all debts remaining in place with further debts to pay for the purchase of the club there will be no significant change under 777 to now, robbing Peter to pay Paul and permanently skint. On top of that the Stadium will be mortgaged to the hilt to fund the rest of their group, or worse sold, if 777 get control we will one way or another lose the benefit of moving to the new stadium...

Those saying give 777 a chance.... I don`t want to hear your bitching and moaning when they take over and ticket prices in the new stadium go up astronomically to cover all these debt payments.

777 is very bad for Everton, in the short term and the long term. These need to be legged pretty quickly.

Their airlineis about to go in to administration in the near future as ACAP are stripping back the funding to 777, this company is collapsing wherever you look, we may be acquired just in time to be a part of that.

Not an endorsemenrt of 777 - but you do wonder about some fans expectations when they complain about owners taking income from clubs.

That's the only reason anybody runs a business.

I guess moneybags from the middle-east have distorted things a bit - but even they probaby expect to be taking money at some point - they just want the quick route to the top.

I think its a political thing - people who want to make money are Tories etc. We tried the "big blue" running things and its all gone away. Obviously there are legitimate additional worries about 777 but for me, them being business minded is not one of the issues.

I want the next owners to have zero connection to Everton and run us as a business.

Yes, the only way to make the club sustainable and competitive on the field is to turn a profit. I don’t necessarily like the commercialisation of football but that ship has long since sailed. Run the club competently and get recruitment right in all areas, playing and non playing, and the place will more than pay for itself.

Selling hid clubs so he can obtain everton I'm a desperate effort to achieve some level of legitimate investment , what's he got left to leverage for cash , his box sets of the tv show entourage? Kick rocks josh

The more concerning thing is why they are selling these clubs. Did the funding come from 777re (I would assume)? It's possible that entity is liquidating or at the very least told to raise cash and get back to acceptable cash/risk ratios.

Who knows what the model for 777 even is, they talk big about their multi-club model, but they act like short-term flippers. Is their goal to buy a club, asset strip, make the profitability and the books look a little more desirable and then sell?

Their goal is to make money. The multi-club model is a strategy, not a goal.

I don't begrudge them that, mind you, but they don't seem to be all that good at it thus far.

Have they asset stripped any of the clubs they own?

In a dumbed down version of what 777 are up to I can relate..

I lied to the bank and developer to buy my house, the minute they asked for proof of funds I sold everything I had..... aka the 777 way.
