Deloitte were tasked with finding a buyer for Everton in the Middle East and particularly Qatar in 2022. I know guys who were involved in the process. There was no interest at the time given the threat of relegation etc.

Not to say things haven’t changed since then, but I wouldn’t be getting my hopes up too much.

There's also rumours that anyone who clocked some of the books ran a million miles away.

Great news that the deal fell through. 777 Partners would have been a constant issue. Once survival is assured, there will be buyers. Maybe not what Moshiri was promised by 777 Partners but it also won't be paid for by money that was fraudulently acquired.

Not worried. Sports franchises always find buyers. And this team is about ready to move into a new stadium.
