He says "some say its done and dusted"

In my view that sounds like they're closer than anyone else.
It's a bit weak. He indicated that.

They've been in and around and mentioned by others for a long time.

There's nothing to suggest they'll be taking a stake in Everton.

It's all nonsense to explain away the lack of spending in the market for us...they've known for ages that MSP wasn't happening beyond the stadium loan. They haven't done what they had to and that is to get an investor who'll be able to satisfy Everton's Cheshire based creditors - Rights and Media Funding - that they can sink a lot of cash into the club.

That's the key issue here.

We better pray that a club / clubs accept in desperation a bid from Everton to hand us their players with a promise to pay for them in the future...if they dont then we're headed into the Championship.

Theres nothing to strip, and they would just be wasting money doing that.

Apart from being a team in the most valuable / marketable league in the world.

The world class stadium that's over halfway being built on an iconic riverfront.

One of the most followed sports teams on social media.

The impressive training ground (not sure if we own it now, but it's an asset that can be easily be flipped).

The goodison footprint.

There are no leveraged buyouts allowed anymore, so whatever they do investment/full takeover they would have to have cold hard cash up front (something which seems to have been a problem for them previously) Also their portfolio is pretty irrelevant as since then they have had the FBI after them which isn't going to help.

FBI confirmed Mohammed Bin Salman approved the killing of Khashoggi. He chairs PIF who own Newcastle. So big shrug from the PL on that.

Like I say, these fraudsters find a way.

Oh the two are completely separate that's for sure

Whoever comes in doesn't effect on the pitch. It'll all be stadium focused.

Saudis threatened to withdraw oil supply on Boris (Ukraine had already started) so he didn't have much choice at the time. Also it's EFC, you just know they will refuse it (a good thing in this case) the authorities hate us.

MSP didn't happen because Bill and Mosh weren't willing to give up places on the board or have people who would question or professionalism this absolute binfire

I think if someone wants to buy double the amount of the club that MSP wanted they are going to want people on the board, so that wasn't the reason.

Have leveraged buyouts been prohibited now under PL rules? I'm sure I read something about that a few months ago.

I don't think 777 can take full control but if it's potential bad news with this club, you can never rule things out.

Yes, you have to show you have money upfront now, that's why imo 777 would have to be doubling up with another to come on board. The long term goal of their model has always been to takeover a PL club. They seem to have made a bit of mess with some of their other clubs so would have to massively up their game at this level, especially given the circus that dumb and dumber seem to have caused.

Think this is the key to whoever invests, its going to be the people who provide BK and FM with the best deal personally. Now from a totally selfish perspective, that is fine, deep down each and everyone of us would do the same if you take the emotional connection away from Everton.

This won't be the best deal for Everton, it will be the best deal for the individuals.

The deal was already dead and it was 6 months before it was reopened. I can't see why the Saudis would threaten to stop oil over sportwashing Newcastle United.

Although I do agree with government will have leaned on the PL to let it go

Does that cover small percentage stakes though? Like I say, they find £200mill for 25% stake... surely thats small enough to get round "takeover" checks. You're just an Investor then. Increases the value of the club too.

I can't remember the exact details but I remember there was a lot of opposition to PIF and they were trying to push it through before the rules changed so started leaning on Boris, who lets face it just does what he is told by his paymasters.

777 want a full takeover though don't they? never seen any talk of them and suggestions of "investment" I think we need to know more details tbh, we don't even know who the Asian outfit are yet.
