The first significant thing they could do to get a bit of credibility with the fans (and the league) is do what MSP were apparently going to do and appoint guys like Bell and Downing to senior positions. It would at least be reassuring to know there were both competent businessmen and Everton supporters in those positions to ensure the club's best interests were looked after.

First thing they need to do in my opinion is tell us how they are funding BMD and what they are doing with Goodison mate.

Also worth noting, everyone very quick to point to Sevilla and the trouble they're in despite 777 having a minority stake. Since they began investing in Sevilla in 2018, they've won the Europa League twice and had several top 4 finishes.

If you’re hungry and someone offers you a dogsh!t butty do you just eat it no questions asked

Or you could stamp your feet refuse that and anything else they or anyone else offer unless its fillet steak......then die of starvation.

But least you stood firm hey....

I wouldn't mind people of that calibre on the board, but the executive team needs to be sourced independently, and based on open competition. There is no harm in having a voice in the board that has good business acumen with Everton connections, but the football business needs to be run predominantly by football business people, those that have demonstrable success and a track record in that respect.

We've seen the consequences of a combination of having an interfering owner, and an incompetent board and executive, the most senior of which with no clue of what they were doing.
