It really just comes down to whether MSP actually wants the club or not. They seem like more competent business people than 777 at least, so they would have seen the possibility of this situation arising. Every bit of news that's come out for months has made it look less and less likely that 777 would come up with the money. Not to mention that they'd surely be privy to behind-the-scenes info that we're not. So MSP would have had time to prepare, if they wanted to do so.
That's the one variable in all this that none of us can really know. And like we were saying, even if they do agree to the requested extension, that doesn't necessarily mean they don't want the club. It could just mean they want to make sure we stay up first.

It absolutely boggles the mind to think that we're so many, many months into all of this, and the prospective buyer still doesn't have the money to actually do the transaction. Delay after delay, which we've been blaming on the league all this time, when it turns out it's really just down to our ridiculous owner being willing to continue on with the charade of this "sale."
