Peter Reid sold me his so he could buy plymouth player's some half time oranges, and dave jones traded his for me for some cigarettes in case his court case went badly.

Basically it says Moyes is very thorough on knowing about the opposition and set plans to stop the opposition playing to there strengths. In other words he worries about the oppositions strengths rather than concentrate on there weaknesses. Its the old chestnut of playing not to lose.

Others have picked up on it and that's what it said to me as well

I read an article that made very good arguments about how Everton get the absolute most out of their squad, how Moyes overachieves more than any other manager and how hard Moyes works at every detail to gain us points.

And then all the comments, from the usual suspects, are about why Moyes isn't actually that good because errr, well he isn't.

*Shakes head*

Yeah, great conclusion to draw from what you read.

Found that unbelievably patronising....from saying liverpool is the poorest city in the country to constantly making out were some sort of nothing club who's never won anything or been any good.

"They were – and are – the second club of England’s poorest city."

Got to be written by a Southern Tory RS

Not sure why you think the writer has to be Southern, Tory or RS. I'm a northern, Labour Blue and I find it hard to disagree with either of those assertions.
By almost any measure, we have played second fiddle to the ****e over most of the last forty years. In the same time,, Liverpool as a city has certainly been one of the poorest in the UK.
I take great pleasure in the fact that we have fought against the odds to now be regarded as at least a top six club on a regular basis.

Stan, the article is written as if Everton always were the second club of the City, not just over the last forty years - disregards the fact that LFC are our afterbirth created by a landlord's greed and an anonymity until 1970.

The reference to Liverpool being the poorest city in the UK (not one of the poorest) is a complete ****ing irrelevance that didn't need to be in there.

Get off your knees lad, top six is not enough.
