A headache for Frank for the next game

I can’t see De Beek or Alli coming to us to sit on the bench. I would also imagine Lampard gave them some assurances over playing time.

However after thst performance today, especially from Allan & Gomes I’ve no idea how he changes it or who he drops.

Still worried defensively so I would rather we go for an attacking line up against the barcodes. Get in front then we can shore up.
I've a feeling it's not Franks style to sit back and let teams get at us from the start. He'll want us to have momentum from the start unless it's away at teams like City. Just what we've been crying out for. Brentford would have come at us like tigers back in December and had us pinned in our own half at Goodison for the first 45.

Yeah my guess is a 4-3-3 with Dele on the bench.
I would also guess that it's the same lot up top.

This is what I think, he has to earn his start.

However horses for courses and all that I would like to see Ali start of Tuesday, it is a much harder game.
Cant drop Gomes though.
It probably depends on how Lampard wants to punish Shelvey's tendency towards errors, assuming he thinks Shelvey starts.

My recollection is that Shelvey is more likely to do dumb things in transition than when the other side is trying to break them down, especially when passing, which suggests that van de Beek over Gomes is probably the way.

I will never forget watching an RS draw years ago where Shelvey was involved in all four goals - goal, assist, own goal, bad pass intercepted leading directly to concession.

DCL doesn’t start for me. It was nice to see us passing around today and trying to create something. I can’t be a**ed watching us going back to whipping crosses inn and hoping for the best of DCL gets back inn.

Lampard stated the players were good, he just selected a decent number of players in midfield instead of two players - a very satisfactory performance the team gelled we struggled to beat Hull in the last round under TFSW........
