Of course there is a thick dividing line between people who exploit women and girls for themselves and those who do it but involve others as well.

Brand, Weinstein and a host of other names did it out of their own perversion and so there isn't any real reason why people and the state wouldn't eventually go after them. It might take a while and loads of people tolerate it while it happens but theres a good chance eventually that the man will come up and deal with it.

The Epsteins of this world on the other hand will always be protected. You can see that still happening with Epstein by the continual focus on Prince Andrew - the one person they know will never face a jury, so they can all pretend that they are waiting for that to happen rather than deal with the people who had much deeper, longer links with him and live in the same country as the people who would be required to prosecute them.
