The highest score-draw in Football League history is 6-6. Leicester City and Arsenal shared the score in a Division One match on 21 April 1930, and then Charlton Athletic and Middlesbrough also shared 12 goals on 22 October 1960 in a Second Division game.

So I take it answer number 7 in 1956 doesn't involve English teams.

:)

Sorry my old son.........................the hat trick prick was Jim Melrose in the 80's for Charlton and Coventry(n)

The 6 - 6 draw was in 1956 between Huddersfield and Charlton, the home manager being a certain W Shankley(n)

A speciality quiz to follow

You sure about that? According to wikipedia Huddersfield beat Charlton 4-0 in April 1956 but got relegated that season so only played them that once.

My record states that the reverse fixture resulted in a 7 - 6 win for Charlton after they had led 5 - 1
