He is better with better players around him. Like a lot of players I suppose.

I didn't want us to sign him if he was the only midfield signing for us this summer but was delighted to get him when we got Allan and James if that makes sense? Not a game changer but a useful cog or something like that.
 
I always had him down as a box to box midfielder- at the minute it feels like he’s being constrained to cover/protect the right side - fine when that’s Coleman and James not so much when it’s kenny and Sigurdsson.

I’d have had him breaking to join dcl today given the lack of quality on the pitch. Mightn’t have worked but the crab like passing was never going to cut it.
 

Seriously people, have a day off with the stick for doucs - he's been sound for us, even when played out of position.

Save you're wrath for the true problem players in the team/squad - siggy, iwobbi, Delph and now gomes on his current form, sadly.

He played at RB for much of yesterday and didn't go missing or do much wrong.

I also think he is better when further forward in midfield, but he hasn't been played there the last few matches as we've had crab siggy blocking his space.
