Did anyone see first half ball got played over the top by pope and instead of facing the ball when it landed he turned his back and faced the Burnley player. Wtf fight for the ball, face where it’s coming from, B A S I C S

His form is bad granted but if we supported him it would be easier because his role is asking too much. He can't be defensive midfielder, box to box and attacking midfielder.

Put him with Delph and Allan and he has support to help attacks, he can support his midfield because they are covering defensive duties.

Against Man City, we had Allan, Van de Beek and Doucoure, it has been our best team performance despite the result.

Playing players in their correct positions is the way. Mad I know

Same argument with Gomes. He’s looks better in a 3 because he’s crap. And we’ve had 1 midfielder for the last 2 games, you’re a professional footballer, supposedly. Take responsibility and adapt. Don’t cry because you haven’t got Allan to hold your hand

I’ve watched enough of Doucoure at Watford to know he’s technically a liability.
And against Man City we had 20% possession again this group best performances over the years have come in them games where they’ve had none of the ball. But when I team parks the bus against us or we have to go after team we basically scratch our heads

Which was evident again last night. Unless iwobi threads an eye of needle pass through 9 men. Or Richarlison and Gordon do something themselves we don’t create anything.

Back to Doucoure. I’ve never seen anyone be as bad at passing 5/10yards how many does he under hit?

Personally id play Delph, Allan and iwobi/VDB as a midfield 3 for the rest of this season.
