Dont think we could get much for Davies and he can put a foot in and take a yellow ehen we need it, Douc cant even do that but he might offer something to someone
I’m still amazed that after 5 years of TD people still think he offers anything.
It’s all about opinions though of course.

I think there are some harsh critiques of Doucoure, I think he's an energetic number 8 who would likely thrive in most other midtable teams but given through either mis-management of previous managers and/or injuries limiting our options in the center of the pitch, he almost always has to play in a 2 man CM pairing which does not suit him. he usually has to do all the running for his partner, be it Allan, Davies, Gomes... The only one who has matched his legs is Iwobi.

His form Didn’t half fall off a cliff last season , he was struggling to do the basics that attempt at a clearance for palaces second summed him up , hopefully he can get back to his best

We saw him briefly thriving in that role in the early Rafael games. Teams quickly cottoned on to how exposed we could be left in the middle with just him and Allan in there and that was the end of that.
But yes, say you had a proper 6 in there, we would be so much better.
Really hoping we do re-sign Gueye, he's not a 6 in the traditional sense but he'd be a breath of fresh air.

Well longer term, we would have a more traditional 6 at the base of the 3 and Onana would phase out out Doucoure. Just don't wanna drown Onana before we teach him how to swim properly!
