Thinks the problem mate, he isn’t. He’s played 80 games for us and has been probably been effective in 10He's been really off it the last couple of games. Only got ourselves to blame for building him up as a saviour.
We all know he can be effective but his lack of ability on the ball or to do the basics is as destroying to our souls as it our attacks.
All of them to control one pass, right?Completely anonymous last night apart from firing that shot into the stand and his other shot.
He had 36 touches of the ball!
It’s just one week ago we were all crying that his 3 game suspension has sealed relegation, and we were desperate for his return to give us any hope and we’d start battering everyone. Lo and behold he has done nothing.Thinks the problem mate, he isn’t. He’s played 80 games for us and has been probably been effective in 10
It’s like the majority of the squad, small bursts of looking half decent and people get carried away
I read all the post to substitute Iwobi at half time on the match thread last night - then he scored the equaliser - he has to play centre midfield with Gray on the wing - Iwobi is not a winger - he can't cross a ball but can be our playmaker in the middle .....This season's Alex Iwobi.
That bias is fascinating and we all do itIt’s just one week ago we were all crying that his 3 game suspension has sealed relegation, and we were desperate for his return to give us any hope and we’d start battering everyone. Lo and behold he has done nothing.
Couple of games on the bench for Gray and he is now the world beater that needs to come in to save us, even though he was our most ineffective player for months and was getting slammed.
Plenty of ability in the squad, but our strongest player (relatively) changes every week. No consistency. Iwobi can be our best and worst player even in the same half!
To be fair, McNeill has been our most consistent outfield performer. Never amazing, but no wild swings between good and terrible.
