We had absolutely no replacement for him with how Dyche was using him. Could easily argue he was our most important player since Lampard left, maybe outside Pickford. Without that 3 game ban, I think we were safe weeks ago, I think we would have beat Fulham and Palace with him in the team.

Clearly Dyche values him greatly, if Dyche remains, Doucoure has to stay.

If Dyche leaves, as a side that can't score goals, we will be taking a punt on hopefully 2 attacking players which may or may not work out, if we get one more season out of Doucoure and he scores 6 or 7 goals, keeps us out of the bottom 4 or 5, well worth it to let him leave on a free after 2024. Don't care if the ball bounces off his shins a few times a game, he can score goals, which no one on this team can do outside of DCL and McNeil.

He’s got the type of energy that would make him a great wing back. He just lacks in everything else but you can’t fault his effort and application in the last couple of months

Always said there are goals in Doucoure he proved that at Watford, in a team that doesn't score enough goals he's priceless. Not saying he is a great player, but it's what HD brings to the team, he allows other players to play.

Limited footballer,great athlete and integral to Dyche's system. Having said all that, the technique involved in that goal yesterday is very involved. Anyone who has played the game knows that when a ball comes to you like that, on the volley, it is very difficult to put your laces right through it and absolutely leather it, whilst still keeping it on target. Doucoure leathered that, in fact he leathered it so hard it was in the net before the keeper moved. A great bit of skill from a limited player.

Have always thought that once he gets a run of games he looks a decent player. Problem has been when he starts to look good he has got injured
