2022/23 Abdoulaye Doucouré

He’s the biggest crab in our squad. A central midfielder that absolutely hates receiving the ball and will do everything in his power to avoid it.

I don’t rate him. Regressed considerably over the last 18 months.
But before I start giving him grief, I’d like to know why he’s been asked to train alone, as if he’s fuming about the managers tactics, which we all have, then he’d be right.

I expect it’s down to his attitude, but guess that will come out soon enough.

I’d like to know the specifics of this, to be honest.

If he’s fuming about Lampard playing crab football, can I really be mad? As he’d be right.

If he’s throwing a strop because his attitude has been brought into question, then obviously he needs shipping out.
He sat on a ball, during a warm up, and sulked

If that doesn’t say “attitude” problem I don’t know what does.

And even if you disagree with the manager, his tactics are crap etc etc you still go out every game and show professionalism

Needs binning for his so called warm up at Man City

I guess it’s a case of how long it’s been going on, really.

For me Lampard lost it after the week in a Bournemouth.

No excusing Doucoure and his warm up, and certainly no excusing the players downing tools again.

But this is the bleakest it’s been and we’re still passing it round the back like we’re 5-0 up. If he’s actually showing heart, fair enough.

We’re probably dealing with two wrongs here: Doucs seems to have shown a bad attitude since deservedly losing his place in the team. So I don’t have much sympathy for him.

At the same time, I remember reading about Lampard’s Chelsea and one of the criticisms was he was super matey with the players he liked but marginalised and basically didn’t speak to players he didn’t, and didn’t even give them guidance on what they needed to do to get back in favour. It sounds like that could’ve been a contributing factor here.

There seems to be this higher power that footballers seem to have. At the end of the day he’s an employee of Everton Football Club who has a manger.

If he doesn’t agree with that manager, or thinks the manager is crap, then he can go in, apologise and put his opinions across or he can negotiate a move away from the club

But he knows, and we know, that he won’t get close to the money he’s on here.

So, in my opinion, he has no professional pride.

This.

How can you implement tactics to some tit sitting on a ball not even warming up.

I hate 99.999999% of this squad, horrible cowards.

Yeah I was thinking the same about how things were at Chelsea for him. Pretty sure he had a big fallout with Rudiger, and stopped selecting him. After he got sacked and Tuchel came in, Rudiger was back in the side… and playing some his best football.

It could cut the other way, when your manager talks a lot of tripe, his ideas are fairy tale and his reality is jackanory, then being demoralised and sick to the back teeth of the twaddle chatting numpty is understandable. It happened with circus clown martinez, he eventually alienated the entire playing staff because he was monstrously out of his depth. Lampard doesn't have the rich spoils of mid two thousands chelsea, he has stubbornly tried to play a kind of football that simply wont take with the current squad. That belligerence cost the fraud from wigan, and it'll cost the tin eared novice manager as well.

To much style, not enough substance. Emperors new clothes. Fool!

ps, doomed.

German international currently playing for Real Madrid against... Doucoure.

I guess no one wants to be in a toxic changing room.

No one knows the details of how toxic it is right now, but naturally when you’re on a run like we’re on, it’s expected that it’s gonna be poor.

The players have the expectancy to at least be professional and try, but I know I’ve been in toxic working environments and ids not always that simple.

Not defending him, I’d just like to know why he’s been sent away, if it’s cause he challenged Lampard or his attitude wasn’t brought into question.
