Think it has been proven beyond doubt that without this one player we are broken. This one player that gets slaughtered by our clued up supporters. Do we need him??.................very obvious that we do.

I agree with most of what you have said but my only gripe is that to me a footballer has many guises. Yes with the football at his feet is certainly a contentious point but what he brings to this team is something our main striker(s) cannot do and that is score. He is also a very disruptive player that presses/harries players as good as anyone. He is as important without the ball or should I say effective without the ball than he is with the ball. You say he has a great knack for being in the right spot.........damned right he is and that is a skill that not many of our other players have. I had a dig at some fans mainly because it is apparent how important and effective he is DESPITE not being great on the ball yet gets called out as being crap. He fits our system, he scores more goals than others that he shouldn't. He has become our main man in this system and proven that without him we are toothless. I repeat, why do so called clued up fans ridicule him for his on the ball game yet seem oblivious to his strengths that are keeping the club afloatI don't think it's fair to be critical of fans who see huge weaknesses in his game tbf mate.
Do we need him? It's obvious we do and that Dyche simply can't find an alternative way to play without him.
Should we rely him as much as we do? Definitely not. We are basically relying on a player who struggles to control a ball, pass a ball, lots of moves break down with him and one of his main strengths is the work he puts in "off the ball"
But let's get this straight, Dyche is completely lost without him so in turn so are we. So the sooner he's back in there the better.
I definitely don't think it's worth a dig at supporters though with the "clued up supporters" comment. Anyone with eyes can see the fella can barely play football with the ball at his feet, but what he does have is a great knack for being in the right spot.
Him missing just highlights how dreadful Mcneil and Harrison are though and DCL simply hasn't stepped up as a senior pro in his absence.
Despite all this, somehow someway we only score goals from open play with him. It's a mystery to me, but we really miss him somehowI don't think it's fair to be critical of fans who see huge weaknesses in his game tbf mate.

Any news when expected back?
Matterface on the Talksport comms said he was back running but this game came too early so have to think he'll be ready with another 9 days.
Please play on Monday
Good news, massively missed for all his flaws. You can almost see the core base real grass touching genuine true premier league fitness being obtained there.
He’s probably one of four players absolutely key to our success, fantastic to have him back!

The others we can’t live without in my opinion are Pickford, Tarkowski and Branthwaite by the way, which is why we’ve ground out some draws without big Duke but ultimately been toothless in attack.
