He is average, we've been terrible, so because of that he's been vital to us. I'm hoping we'll become a better team, and because of his wage and his age we need to move on. If he takes a substantial wage cut I'd be ok keeping him as a squad player.

…I know you’re not a fan, believe it or not neither am I but I like him & 100% realise why he’s selected. I certainly think he’s under appreciated for what he’s done for our club.

Spot on, I’m on my 3rd rum and I just love a 94th minute winner.

I remember watching is away at Brentford last season, and he just bullied their defenders. He got a goal and played really well.

I remember when I first started mens football, and I'd have loved a player like Doucoure. You could fire balls at him, and he would make something happen.

It was a superb finish eggs that's for sure.

If we were in Europe, I'd see the reasoning for keeping him for another season (on reduced terms), but we're not and I don't see a world where any Everton player should be on the wages he's collecting until we're hitting the top 5/6/7 spots.

Comes across as a lovely fella, but I'll be delighted if we say thanks and goodbye in the summer.

BUT, in the meantime I'm more than happy to celebrate goals like today, when he doesn't have time to think about it he's actually a decent finisher

He’s 100% synonymous with what we are right now, but I’d be happy to keep for another season as part of the squad. Chuffed that he’s bound to agree with a 90% drop In wages.
 

The shot Doucs lifted up for goal today is pretty similar to the few chances Beto had recently that the goalie stopped. So props for Doucoure for his composure and finishing today.
