As I called it when we appointed Moyes. He will love Doucoure. Those kinds of managers always do. Club will definitely take up the option on him at the end of the season. Another year at least of this yet guys.

If we didnt have a player who our every attack breaks down as soon as the get the ball and gifts it back to the opposition. We might score and that wouldn't go with the culture of the club.

Can only hope that this is about having somebody to intercept hospital balls between their defenders and goalkeeper, rather than the more likely scenario that he's just going to be first choice under Moyes regardless.

I can only assume it's some kind of pressing/off the ball activity.

I could see a few years ago that he added coverage and an ability to 'break lines' but that reduces year on year and stops disguising that he can't pass a football.

Yep. I could also partially forgive his inability to do even the most basic technical fundamentals with the ball at his feet when he chipped in with the odd goal. Would love to be proved wrong today.
