Considering his wages he is shocking.
A bit of pressing for 45 minutes and nothing else. Awful control, no anticipation and abysmal passing range.
Need better to see out games.

He’s so terrible with the ball - like, so clearly to everyone no matter their interest level in watching football - that I’ve been distracting myself through that match trying to figure out why he continues to play.

I’ve been trying to work out in a dispassionate way what it is he brings - because he’s clearly considered to have value.

The only thing I can come up with is that he’s good at getting in the way. Getting back behind the ball and standing in the way of a forward ball from the opposition.

He’s basically a running barricade.

That was the one that stuck out for me too. It was a promising counter attack. At the very least we had a chance to relieve pressure for a few minutes yet he immediately pissed it away

Work rate isn’t bad, the rest of his game is however. The sooner he’s out the more creative and likely to finish a counterattack we are.

I have been a fan of his but only when he was scoring goals that we needed. Without goals, his deficiencies with the ball are really difficult to take.

Would love a striker & someone to take over Doucoure’s position before the window ends.
