Yup, thats usually the way it is. Just interested if anyone on here who had seen a lot of the ressies and the youth side could say which are most likely to do that?
 
ToffeeWeb speaking there. Come on, be more optimistic. Maybe if we all close our eyes and think really hard, 4 or 5 of them may emerge and we can have what Man U had in the 90s.

Despite what some players aren't doing in the first team the roots of EFC are firmly in place(y)

OK then i think all of them will break through - because we'll have no money to buy anyone else!

I'll repeat myself form before and say the effort put in at the academy is a positive step all round. Look at the money we spend this summer bringing back players we axed ten years ago. False economy or what.

Best situation - we have a squad of homegrown free players who are world beaters

Worst situation - we get a few squad players plus a few sold to the championship for a nice sell on fee later

Most likely situation - we get a couple of crackers which we sell on to service some outstanding debt and start all over again
