Nursing home at the back of ours has their bins emptied at 5am every Thursday ( private )

Nursing home staff, smoke weed out the back on handover from nights to morning shift ( 7am )

Smell of weed drifts through my little lads bedroom window in the Summer ( if it`s open, which is very rarely now due to weed smoke )

Tbh, I`m more arsed about the fact that there`s carers off their boxes at 7am and driving home or looking after old dears off their trolleys, than the smoke.
Stop smoking weed then

Am not on abar ya ma shaving her pubes here. Am on about the grass in the garden.

Had some lemon of a neighbour decide to start cutting his grass at 7:10am this morning. The little beaut works shifts and thinks he can do standard day time activities during unsociable hours.

Should I stop being a Karen or am I right to moan?
Next time we're due some hot weather, hammer some frozen sausages into his lawn. That'll learn 'im

The answer is Yes, you should stop Karening

A real thing here. We have noise regulations in Switzerland to adhere to but generally refers to avoiding activity that can disturb neighbors during certain periods of time/week. Sundays & holidays, no noises (So mowing the lawn is out). During the week (M-F) expected between 8 and 6pm while avoiding 12-1pm.

Takes me 45 minutes to cut the lawn and collect grass clippings into lawn bag to be deposed at recycling center for farm animal feedings

Don't moan, just borrow a dog if you don't own one, and get it to relieve itself, Katie Price style, in the long grass.

Makes a God awful mess of a Flymo. It'll make your neighbour question the existence of the almighty when cleaning up.

In Germany you can’t make noise on Sundays at all either. You can’t even use bottle banks

What is it about the modern world that people find it bafflingly hard not to be utter tits? A result of the "me first" "because youre worth it" ideology? Thatcher saying there is no such thing as society? Lack of responsibility? Lack of thought? Enshitified education system? Entitlement?

"Hell is other people" .... its a commentary not a guide ffs!

Having said all that ... 10am? I'm not ganging around that long to get on with my jobs because you're a lazy auld arse. 9 is acceptable.
I'm going to cut the grass as 9 tomorrow then. Day of gardening for me. Only got a small lawn so I can't prolong the annoying noise alas.

In Germany they have laws for this kind of stuff. You're allowed to mow the lawn from 07:00-20:00 on working days, not at all on Sundays or bank holidays. If your lawn mower is particularly loud, over 88 decibels, then it's reduced even further to 09:00-13:00 and 15:00-19:00 on working days. If you hear someone doing it outside of those times you can call the police on them.
Who really lost the war hmm?

I've recently learnt about this in my cultural studies.

Amazing what you can learn on the webs.
