We've recently improved our statistic monitoring and have become aware that nearly 27% of last months traffic had a version of 'adblock' installed. In Layman's terms, nearly 30% of you exclude any of our adverts.

Now, our sponsors have trackers on their adverts to see how many times their adverts are being loaded, which they evaluate careful prior considering any sponsorship renewal - so you can see the problem we have.

Our adverts are not intrusive, and clearly, we rely on them to help keep this place maintainable. GOT is by some margin my biggest expense and the long and short of it is, if our sponsors dont renew and I can't secure an alternative - GrandOldTeam dies.

Google Analytics tell us page loads (we can cross ref with server)

And Google Adsense tell us ad page loads.

Now given there is an ad on every single page/device, the only explanation is AB.

Note that Flashblock (or similar) would block Flash ads (though I'm not sure if they would count as a load).

I've got adblock plus disabled for this site but I keep getting this message popping up even though ads are showing up:

Anything I can do to stop it popping up all the time?

Definitely.

Now given there is an ad on every single page/device, the only explanation is AB.

I clicked on the Irish field and joined cause its a good site for horses but I'm not clicking on Liverpool Jerseys for Sale in lifestyle sports! You wanna sort that GOT!

I've got an old iphone that hassles me about adblock when browsing GOT and I don't even have adblock installed.

I am now thinking of installing adblock to avoid all the erroneous 'you've got adblock installed' messages...

My works pc has ad blocker but my devices are fine. I'd assume others are in the same position.

Just got this as well and like you I thought mine was disabled as I'm getting ads. Also I don't have an adbloc icon

got you sorted easy peasey on firefox but on IE 11 the Icon has done a runner, will keep looking.
