Welcome to Barcelonaton FC
BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | M | Man City | Man City hold talks over Adebayor

Apparantly in talks - £25million, £170k a week or something. Seems a blind buy after Eto jibbed them off.

No skin off Arsenal's nose IMO who would make a tidy profit. Eduardo, Vela, Bendtner, Van Persi will always do a job and it makes Wenger make an easier decision on going 4-5-1 with Arshavin and Fabregas bossing the mid.

Adebayor is a good player but someone you can clearly see being hit and miss.

Still think Citeh need another 5 players though - mainly a new defence.

Looks like Bellamey will be off...and Santa Cruz will be sitting out most of the season. CHA-CHING"!

when fans produce spoof brochures as in Michael Owen, I think that Arsenal would feel that Adebayor's time is up. Citeh have over 8 strikers on their books.

Brochure | The Spoiler

I have to say the brochure is great. Wonder who we would produce one for to remove them from the club?

Goal to chances record has only been bettered by 453 players hahahaha:D

So it'll be....

De Jong

Wright Philips Barry Robinho
Tevez
Adebayor

With
Bellamey
Santa Cruz
Ireland
Elano

And the rexst on the bench. Not bad. Nice to see most of the bench will be taking it on the chin that they're no longer 1st team players. hahaha

Adebayor
Tevez
Robinho
Bellamy
Santa Cruz
Jo

Hell of a set of forwards to pick from. Ok, so Jo is ours for the season, but does any other prem side have 5 first choice internationals at their striking disposal?

Sunderland are already eyeing up Bellamy, and I bet he goes being that he's not going to play regularly. Jo's with us...so its a good bench of just -

Santa Cruz, Bojinov, Benjani with Adebayor Tevez Robinho playing.

Thing about Adebayor though was he provided Arsenal with a different option. Before he arrived, Arsenal were one dimensional - teams could just very deep, let Arsenal pass the ball in front of them with no danger. With him, they could get the ball wide and stick a cross in, so teams couldn't defend as deep.

I don't think Adebayor is a particularly great player TBH, but I think that until Arsenal get a similar type of player in they'll be worse for the deal. I expect they'll be putting faith in Bentner this season, but his scoring record is pretty patchey and he's got a lot to prove.

£22mill worst off? I'm sure Wenger will get someone good for half that price.

I feel City are making future mistakes in all these signings of forwards. Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Tevez, Benjani, Bellamy, Robinho and Caicedo will all wall want games and despite Tevez and Robinho capable of playing in a deeper role, i just cant see how Mark Hughes will be able to keep everyone happy. Unless they are just happy to pick up their fat wages, i can only see problems occuring somewhere down the line.

I was thinking that...but then I thought that no one will care.

They players get the best of both worlds, either sit off and get paid loads and maybe not play. Or if they want to move on, Citeh will let them hassle free for half the price they bought them for and buy someone else.

The only problem you'll have is them either not gelling or Hughes loses the plot. Even if there is player unrest it means nothing to them as they can just go out and buy someone else.

Money is no object. Souless silverware at any price is what its all about.

Let he keep pushing for more forwards. The more he gets the better Jo's price will become. I can't see Bellamy getting a game anymore. Don't forget you forgot the injury plauged Bojinov who would be a good signing for anyone.
