Thats the problem when your better players start wanting to leave - Stones, Ross, Rom, Lookman - you begin to become a southampton where every top player at the club knows they are going nowhere and want to jump ship at the first opportunity.

Hopefully we keep him as he's going to develop into a very good player however I wont hold my breathe with the current clowns in the boardroom.

Maybe we should start asking DOES he want to leave? He hasn’t said anything, it’s all been Rangnick apparently talking to the press.

People really need to chill out and realise the 24 hour news cycle requires stories.
 
His agent is getting into his head I think personally. I Bet there is a transfer request on the horizon. Saving grace is Brands will refuse to be bullied and has way more experience at these types of tactics, in comparison to Walsh.
 

He took quite a few knocks last week and was on the bench tonight. No need to risk him in a friendly against Bury when there are 2 games in 2 days against better teams coming up at the weekend. If he doesnt get a game at the weekend then it will look a bit dodgy. I expect him to play though fingers crossed.

Read Lukaku's comments on the club about not signing good players who were available.

You have a lad who looks likely to leave to a club in a lesser league who aint even in the CL over staying at a club with supposed big plans.

Everyone expects the likes of Lukaku and Stones to leave when your Man City's / Man Utd's come calling but RB Leipzig? Massive watershed moment for EFC this imo.

Any player can be made to look like a bad egg when leaving. The Everton board have mastered the art of ‘show me the man, and I’ll show you his crime’.

The reality is we might have to sell Lookman to raise funds, like we did with Stones 100% and Lukaku 100%.

You are right. Selling our young players to German no marks on the cheap would be inexcusable.

So do you think we are going to sign Malcom and Mina and Tierney then? Just wondering as there is as much evidence for that as Lookman leaving. i.e paper talk and nothing else

Lookman isnt even leaving for a CL club which is a concern.

I honestly have no idea what we will do mate. Hoping we make those sort of signings as they would be great additions to the side but I fear our negotiating tactics under Brands and / or limited resources from the board may see us miss out on those in demand type of players.
 
Leipzig want him but even though he ripped it up in the Bundesliga they still aren't sure of his value. Now if he could only turn it on against Bury too then that would seal the deal. Send in the scouts. Jesus wept.
