2017/18 Ademola Lookman

...i’m a fan of Lookman, I think he has all the ammunition to be a top player. What I don’t know is what his character is like. Perhaps that’s a factor in him not being here.

the fact he was actively pursuing a move abroad to a top club, which is practically unheard of in a british player, rather than have an easy life at derby tells me everything i need to know about lookmans character.

I love that fact he's trusted himself to go to Leipzig and get the experience he needs. I hope he scores another winner this weekend. The detestable Allardyce would probably once again brush over it and claim it's proven nothing and counts for nothing, all while Bolasie continues to stink out the gaff in L4.

how do you work that out? unsworth was doing better( only slightly but still better) than the fat, negative mess we have helping to ruin our club now.
He absolutely wasn’t. We were an embarrassment under rhino. I’ve never seen anyone try to get to a bench, to advise the manager, in 47 years of watching football. Joe Royle did it twice because our tactics were so naive.

how do you know it wasn't because they were a team? see to you that's someone having to take it upon themselves to tell the manager he is wrong, whereas I see it as they were a partnership so to speak, and each others input was required

plus whats any different than when dunc was whispering things to koeman, how do we know he wasn't saying "oi ginger, what you playing at here"

Because joe royle was in the stand and refused access to the bench by the officials. It was hardly a partnership. To keep this on topic, look man you’re wrong!

hahaha nicely done

to be fair I didn't know he was in the stand, just trying to play devils advocate here aren't I haha

I just wonder how different it would have been if rhino had the authority and power of a full time manager, instead of the stop gap every player knew he was

points wise he has a better ratio than the fat oaf.

I agree Unsy disappointed in his time in charge and team selection and tacticd were a large part of that.

But believe me it id far far worse under Allardyce, which is the point Moysie was making.

I'm made up for Lookman. The young man is confident in his abilities, and is taking a chance on himself. I love it personally, and given the manner our management has treated him I wouldn't blame him for pushing to make the move permanent or pursuing a permanent move elsewhere in the summer. Frankly speaking, based on our collective managers' lack of faith in Ademola we simply don't deserve the payoff of his quality coming good.

We can only pray that when this season mercifully comes to a close, BFS is gone, we get a true footballing manager in, and he reaches out to Lookman and tell him he's in his plans. He's a young lad. He has the belief in himself and hunger (proven by forcing a move to Leipzig) that we SO DESPARATELY lack.

I'll be devasted if we sell him

Allardyce has managed more games though so that isn't comparable.

Neither Unsworth or Allardyce are the answer.

I wasn't saying they were, I was responding to a claim lookman would still be here but we'd be rock bottom of the league if unsworth was still in charge
