Adrian Heath

Will NEVER forget his winner in the 84 semifinal at Highbury. Was one of the absolute highlights of my life. Smallest player on the pitch ended up heading a goal. Think that was the game that brought home that we were very much a team on the up and big things were waiting for us.
I was at the back of the stand there and I’ve never known a reaction like it when he scored. It was insane. limbs and screaming and relief at going back to an FA Cup final

Exactly this!!! So much pent up emotion, “limbs” is the right way to describe that goal going in!
Remember the guy next to us telling me that his wife was back home giving birth to their baby, lol probably the bravest person I’ve ever met.

Was with my mates in the North Bank near the front while my girlfriend was with my brother in the stands. My mates stuck a small bottle of something under my nose and said sniff and enjoy. Being gullible I did and had a great time. When that goal went in it was pure madness with everyone hugging each other with the dawning of a great team. We have landed. We are a good team as good as anyone and that goal gave me the realisation that something special was happening.
What a great time to be a blue and it only got better. Adrian Heath was a star amongst stars. That team was at long last a real team that fulfilled our dreams but we still had the normal doubts all Evertonians had prior to that match. We always thought the bubble would burst but it didn't. Heysel finished us but we all still look back with joy and feel privelidged to have seen that team grow and dominate.
