To people saying he WAS great and isnt anymore, hes [Poor language removed] 25! even if he is playing crap, we know he can play amazing, and he can easily imrpove, hes teh same age as yakubu, give or take a year, but better!, stronger, taller, more powerful, better in every aspect!
 
Why is everyone so down on Yakubu, before he's even kicked a ball? For 'renowned tightwad' Moyes to spend £11m, I'm expecting to be pleasantly not that surprised.

It would be nice to find a 'replacement' for Manny, but we were doing alright before his little cameo last season, and we're doing alright without him now.

Forget Adriano, he's not even on the radar.
 
Ambition is what moves a club forward in the table, and that starts with the signings...we need to be ambitious with our signings, make offers for players who might but probably wont come to us, and not settle for the striker that will come to us guaranteed, if all transfers fail, then we can sign yakubu...
 
We don't need another striker, but I suppose we couldn't go wrong with a loan.

I'd be looking at Lucho Gonzalez (Porto), Diego (Bremen), De Rossi (Roma), a creative midfielder of world-class ability, if I were Moyes. And if I were Kenwright, I'd supply him with transfer funds no matter what the cost. Top class midfielder is the priority - no more Carsley/Neville.
 
love to sign diego...found out about him 2 years ago on footy manager lol...

i always prefer to sign the younger players 19-23, that way they are a good investment, and they can improve easily...so the likes of fernandes wouldve been perfect

Well if you think DM wants the kind of player that brings a 6 figure wage demand and an ego the size of Lisa Riley's knicker drawer then fine. I wouldn't really want him at Everton for team spirit reasons as much as being an inconsistent pleb.
 

Anyone besides me think that the signing of the early season so far has been Santa Cruz for Blackburn.

A coup if you ask me.
