Exclusive of the slight industrial, technological, manpower, economic and geographic disparities between Nazi Germany and Afghanistan. On that basis, not even close. Besides, Afghanistan or the Middle East is not being manipulated by one voice like the Germans were.

You do realise the Germany army in 1933 was below 100,000?
Do you know the Talibans population prior the war? The lowest estimates are 100,000+

economic? The Versailles Treaty stripped Germany of much of its territory, disarm, and ordered to pay huge reparations. Germany was bankrupt. Millions people were unemployed.

Germany certainly wern't a superpower in the years preceding the war - not even close.

We'll never know how the Taliban could have developed - I'm for one am glad. Shame we can't say the same on Hitlers Germany.
