Can someone enlighten me on why you would have multiple accounts? is it just to give yourself rep and like your own posts or something? I don't get it.

Also, why do people care so much about any of this stuff and end up with "leaving threads" (like anyone cares) when they get their feelings hurt. What is the average age of this forum? I assumed it was like 30 something, but every now and then I wonder if I am over estimating that by about 15 years.

My take on this -
Some multi's are fine and are made for obvious comedic effect, eg Prevs 'Toby the rhyme dog' (my all time favourite)
The more sinister multis are created by posters who sail close to the wind thus needing a ready made replacement for when the ban hammer inevitably falls.
