Bozos 4 clear of Rovers after 2 games - Rovers will now have three players suspended next week at least - two centre halves. Lopes will also miss the match after that.

Mannus, Rovers keeper is booked in 90+1 - what the hell is going on?
You should know by now that the over reliance on cards by refs in this league is an absolute joke.
There were 13 yellow cards in the Finn Harps vs Galway game last weekend and dosent include the red for Caulfield as he's not a player on the pitch so I don't count his cards. 11 in the Bohs game tonight plus all the ones in Drogheda. There were 5 at the Brandwell but the one given to Derry CB Connolly was absolutely ridiculous.
There were 10 games last week and 715 booking pts (10 pts for YC, 25 for RC) that's an average of 71 or 7 YC a game, that's absolutely insane and we haven't seen Tomney yet this season

The clubs need to present a united front to protest to the League about this.

The supporters are paying good money to see footballers not to see megalomaniacs waving cards around.

Rovers v Derry next week - I have my ticket but already I am dreading another "" look at me - I am the most important person on the pitch" idiot seeking all the attention. A good chance RTE will show it live which makes that likelihood even more probable.

RTE aren't showing it, next game they are showing is Derrys home game on Paddy's day

Edit : They are showing a URC rugby game

Hitting the road shortly for Tallaght and Rovers v Derry City.

Really going to be a major challenge - Derry very good side at any time - tonight Rovers have three central defenders suspended.

The crowd are going to be hugely important to roar on the lads. I am hopeful but quite worried about losing more ground so early in the season.

Fixtures this evening:

Shelbourne Bohemians
Dundalk St Patrick's Athletic
Cork City UCD
Drogheda Utd Sligo Rovers

all 7.45 pm KOs

Shamrock Rovers Derry City
8pm

@NeroCeasar Mrs BR and I will be on a short break in Brugge on Monday so I won't be able to be there obvs, Are you travelling?

Sell out at Tallaght. Entertaining so far. Derry scored against the run of play....Rovers makeshift central defence very ponderous. Really should have been easily cleared.

Kenny equalised 8 minutes later.

New North Stand nearing completion. Looks really well.

Rovers very disappointing 2nd half. Derry took their two chances while Rovers have huffed and puffed.

Really poor start from Rovers which makes me think the longer we stay in the game the more angsty the home crowd will become and we may have a chance of taking something

In fairness the crowd didn't get on to their backs last night.

We understood that losing three defenders would be very problematic - it wasn't down to lack of effort, but organisation and leadership was missing.

4 in a row a distant dream at this stage.
