Having awoke from my post match slumber and having a mouth as dry as the desert and a head that feels like a journalist in a Turkish Embassy, I too know how James must feel after that scorpion of a referee booked him for having the impunity of being hit by that Toyota pick up truck of a tackle.

May all the referee's wives taste as Ash to him. May the fragrant perfumes of jasmine, incense and honeysuckle have the stench of camel dung in this referee's nostrils. May this referee eat greedily of the sweetest figs and dates, only for them to taste acrid and bitter to him. I curse the name of this referee. Al-Cliv E Thom-Ali, trained by Clattenburg, you son of motherless hyena, you are cursed.
lol lol lol brilliant mate

After seeing James' face and injured rib then it seems we really need a stronger curse ;)

Kip of that challenge on him. Regardless how physical the PL is, he'll end up getting seriously injured by some absolute donkey (or camel) going in at him.

The standard is atrocious, the refereeing is atrocious but he's a money maker for his agent and his agent will ensure he goes wherever they can make money.

Was horrendous challenge on him red card and then some for the opponent.

Would question the integrity of the officialdom as well.

However, take the pay take the pain...

Don't know how legit this is - but it says he'll be there for 3 years

Seriously though - if he fails to adapt which to be fair, Qatar is not an easy country to go to, why not go back to Colombia be with the family. Most footballers go back and play in their home country and you still have a higher level of football than in Qatar, Copa Libertadores, and dont have to fly that far for any of the international games.

In the previous game, his team mate who is ahead of James literally gets out of the way so James can score.

I'm not saying James asked for it, but that's like the most bizarre dummy I've ever seen.

Qatar is a hard place. Yet it's pleasures and delights are many. 7 million delights await him every year. Of course I relate those delights to every wish well made by the noble Al-Rayyan fans.

Up the fierce!

The game is very peculiar in Qatar, if you only watched European or South American football that is.

The game is certainly more advanced in an established football culture like you would find in Doha. We value overlooked virtues like motionlessness and unusual and non-conventional attempts at established skills. For example you may see a lazy oaf in Rondon, we see blistering application of skills that demand him to be played every minute of the game over younger more conventionally athletic players.

I’m sure a fattened Oryx would await the legend that is Rondon, should he ever wish to join the mighty Fierce, but I could never envisage him dropping down to what the infidels would regard as a farmers league just for financial gain!

No sir! Otherwise he’d already be somewhere like China!

He is managed by the Spanish Blanc too and the team he plays for has a style already set up for Qatari football. Dare we dream we steal him in a daring raid?
