That said....

R.I.P. Snowy Malone. A good blue taken too soon.
I’m sure it’s George Malone ,his dad that’s dead. Anyway the BBC wanted to use our house to film Chrissie’s story ( the opening of the original play for today was filmed on our road) when they told my mum it was Bleasedale she sent them packing. “He’s disgusting, there’s nothing but swearing in his programmes”.

Snowy dies in a fall before George dies.

Your house: was that in Altmoor Road in Huyton? I know an opening scene starts there with the divvy who went on to play Ron Dixon in Brookie climbing through a fence.

he moved to Gateacre from Allerton, then before he upgraded to Dovecot he lived in Woolton for a bit but other than stalking him for a few decades i`m not the least bit interested in the fella
?

He was a teacher in St Columbas in Huyton then went and taught at Gateacre High or Comp.

I'd move from Allerton to Dovecot...if I was joining an over 60s fight club. But then he is a kopite.

I was thinking of the real Snowy , Chris Darwin, I saw him when he was in the Everyman company under-rated actor. We lived in Alderson rd, runs between Picton and Smithdown , the original programme “The Blackstuff” starts with Loggo coming out of his house and taking a pint of milk off a doorstep. I came home from signing on one Monday morning and they were filming , summer 1978 when I left school.

Oh that's right, there was a pilot episode wasn't there when they went to Middlesborough or somehwere laying tarmac?

Something he recommended to all one time:

It's a long time since I've seen Blackstuff, but in my memory it was bleak rather than funny. GBH is fresher in my mind - misunderstood and unrecognised, it is still a classic

Proper scabs charter that series was.

Must have been where that other Kopite scab McGovern got his idea for the dockers drama.

Amazing how many of these 'anti-establishment' writers actually hold dyed in the wool establishment views.

Yes, they got involved with a group of travellers. I think it was a Play for Today
That's right.

Belasdale's younger brother (one of Enfield's scousers) was in it...dont think he was in the series later though.

I disagree.

Perhaps you need new chat up lines. . . or maybe try the Lisbon?
sound ma..............hey! i seed what you did there. that Lisbon`s a gay bar and you went and inserted your sophisticated sense of humour into what you perceive as a slur. keep on practising Kev and you might grow up to be as witty as Tarby
