been to tirana and durres,fantastic country i could spend a month there easy,highly recommended.
tirana is like a smaller version of istanbul
durres the biggest resort is full of italians on holiday,
cheap as chips but nightlife isnt what you would get in other resorts that cater for english package tourists,ie lappys,irish bars,theres no culture of binge drinking.
wizz used to fly direct to tirana from liverpool,hope they bring it back for next summer!

Bizarre how a high proportion of these Albanian err...... Refugees, choose to pay extortionate sums to people traffickers on a life or death dinghy crossing, yet a one way flight from Albania can be had for just over 20 quid ?? Guess if you've miss laid passport it's the only way, can't think of any other reason !!

From what I've been told, if you come on a boat, and have no ID documents, the UK has to process your application. If you fly here, your details will be known and you're less likely to have your application processed.

I have no idea if this is accurate, or not. It's just what I was told. If it is true, it would certainly explain why so many people risk their safety sailing over the channel on a small dinghy, as opposed to flying here on a plane.

I think you deserve a sensible response mate. Here goes.

Albania is home to some of the most spectacularly beautiful women on gods green earth. When I say spectacular I mean drop dead gorgeous. Truly amazing. It also has a coast that is magical. Parts of it are stunning.

On the flip side, it's home to some of the most violent, brutal, racist, horrible people ever. I passed through the country and I've never seen such misery.

Go to Croatia. Take sail and have a wonderful time. If you meet any Albanian women, marry them all because your kids will be stunning even I you look like a walrus. If you meet any Albanian men, run. Unless you're Liam Neeson of course.
