Paul's Boutique (Beastie Boys) and It Takes A Nation Of Millions... (Public Enemy) still get regular plays in the Naisy household. Hard to believe that both are close to 30 years old. They said that rap was just a fad, but both still feature in 'all time great' lists. I can't remember the last time I bought 'new' music - I listen to hours' worth every day, but it's generally all years old.

A bit off topic, but has anyone got the new Rolling Stones album ' blue and lonesome' was released yesterday, any thoughts if you have.
Back to basics - proper R&b as opposed to what laughably passes for that label nowadays......nothing spectacular but being a blues lover I quite like it - available on Spotify also.

Still listen to "Exiles on Main St" a lot

One I've been hammering all week (including the remixed version) is A Secret Wish by Propaganda, so influential on so many sounds and levels but without much recognition, such a complete singalong album for me. And another I've bought many times over.

Claudia Brucken didn't have anywhere near as much impact as a solo artist but on that album she is outstanding ;)

Absolutely stunning choice - was given this album on cassette which I wore out pretty quickly and bought the vinyl version..." everything we see or seem...is but a dream within a dream " (Mr Poe of course) ;)

Some cracking choices on here.

Id echo the Prefab Sprout -Steve McQueen and add to it their Jordan The Comeback.

Other than that any of Stevie Wonder's fertile period albums and all kinds of Van Morrison's.

Did you get the acoustic Steve McQueen anniversary edition? Some of the versions of the songs are mindblowingly good, Bonny in particular, which is a favourite of mine anyway

Didn't buy it but have heard them all on YouTube many times and agree with you they are quality.

I've had my own Paddy MacAloon revival recently and scour the Facebook group and websites for news of any impending releases but unfortunately he seems as reclusive as ever. Crimson Red had some great stuff on.

Love your own choices by the way (the one's I know anyway)
