It's the size of the fee again. If we had got him at £15m people wouldn't be so willing to write him off as a bad player, because there's talk of £28-34m it becomes a potential disaster. But look, Keane, Mina, Schneiderlin, Pickford, they all cost £20m-£30m also. If he plays in a winning team more often, I hope people refrain from turning him into a permanent 'nothing he will ever do will be good enough' type signing, destined to 'fail' in people's eyes no matter how well he does. The home-grown aspect and his ball-skills, dribbling ability and potential are why we invested in him.

Yeah an it can still happen he’s only 23. Holgate an Dom are both young an have both massively improved this season. I get with Dom it’s that we are playing 2 up top now that has helped. As others have said Iwobi was bought for Silva’s system. So there is a chance he might never work. I just don’t want to right him off just yet. Let’s see what Carlo does with him.
 

I like some parts of his game, he has pace and power, two things sadly lacking in our midfield and he can see a pass.
My problem is I just don't se a £25 mill plus player in him. Having said that Brands and the scouting staff obviously do.and they're the professionals, so, we'll just have to trust them.

He really doesn't though. He isn't slow, but those aren't what his game is.

He's good at linking up in midfield and making incisive passes. And not linking up like Bernard where it's just him and the LB, but proper linking up with the midfield and strikers. Today the team struggled in general passing and he did as well. That's how it will go with him. It doesn't look like he's going to stand up and dominate a game when everyone else is a bit off.

He needs to play better though. Other than that early miss by Richarlison he did precious little. He got the chance today because Bernard hasn't done anything to stop other players from getting a look in, but I think it should be back to Bernard for the next game.

Don't know what the stats say blue, but, I've watched him, he is pacey and powerful.
 
No different to he was at Arsenal. Some think there is a player there.
I doubt there is. Who knows. Id take any offer of 10m for him though.
