Next headline likely to be: "Alex Iwobi misses next 3 months after sustaining whiplash from a hungry giraffe."

Everton that.

I was watching the brands documentary and i was curious as to why he went for Iwobi.

Ive always liked him as a bit of maverick at Arsenal especially when he first came through, but we haven't seen that type of performance from him yet.

When you do a bit of digging on him though, some of his stats are actually incredible and unique in terms of positions he can receive, work and create in advanced areas. I suspect their is more then just the eye test at the moment, in the signing of Iwobi that we will look to build on.

The injury to Gomes and red card of Schneiderlin = early introduction of Gbamin, set the tone for the catastrophe of the season.
None of the signings have had any sort of consistent form.

Gbamin, Delph, Iwobi, Kean, have all been disappointing for different reasons. Even the signing of Gomes brought about an horrendous injury thanks to that weasel Son.

Hopefully once everyone is fit we will start to see this team come together. I am not going to write any of the Summer signings off just yet (though I was not convinced with the Delph signing, and he has done nothing to prove me wrong sadly).

Its very true mate Gbamin, Delph, Iwobi, Kean im really curious as to what they can bring in year 2. Hopefully Andre will be knocking around for the rest of the season.

Iwobi strikes me as one of those really rare hybrid players, that doesn't necessarily fit into one specialist position but at the same time can do things others cant. Firmino is a bit like that you wouldn't say he is a striker or an an attacking midfielder, neither would you say Iwobi is a winger or a 10. i think that makes it hard for people to work him out. Ive seen some do some great things at Arsenal and you go - wow. we haven't seen it here yet, but as i said some of the stuff he does in advanced positions is statistically incredible. Im not sure we seen enough of it consistently but that may be a product of the environment being so unstable.

Hes a curious one for me and one im going to be watching very closely, as he is a massive outlier, doenst fit convention but has the ability to be something very different and unique and an absolute maverick.

Id love to hear brands thinking on Iwobi.

No idea where he should play as he's not good on the wings and we don't really play with a 10 anymore.
“I have grown up playing on the left or as a number 10 and he has combined the two [in one position],” Iwobi told evertonfc.com.
“It feels natural and I am comfortable in the system, it has been bringing the best from me in training.
“The way he [Ancelotti] tells me to come inside is helping my body position, so I receive the ball in a better place [on the field].
“It means my first touch takes me where I should go and I can come infield at the right time to be free and able to turn and play forward.
He's on the wings who does #10 stuff.
