Iwobi is taking time to settle in I would agree, however he is a good solid player & will be an important squad player next season...

He needs encouragement though & not unnecessary criticism aimed at him every time he makes a mistake...

Unfortunately continued disapproval will no doubt knock his confidence & help neither club, team or fans...

Expression & analysis that are inaccurate & not helpful should STAY AT HOME, PROTECT THE TEAM & SAVE OUR PLAYERS...

Im all for supporting players, but there is a standard expected, to many times he hasn't met that standard when asked, yes he has talent, but he seems to me like he needs a push to realise it, he just hasn't been impactfull in games in general play or end product.

Press snippets like, i might try and goals and assists to my game in time wont cut it for 30 mill pound player, he needs to produce in games and hasnt. I like him, i like him at Arsenal i know there is more there, but he has to produce it and be held to a standard, he seems so laid back on and off the pitch he needs to be motivated to improve and have a consequence to not producing.

Ive seen people say Gordon didnt produce either the last day, but one is 19 the other 24, one is well coming well within the time they need to start living up to expectation.

He has been bang average, but saying that when was the last midfielder at the club who wasnt.
Lets see how he does with a couple of decent players around him next season.
If we stay 442 o can only see him being a squad player. Doesn’t score enough to play high up the pitch in one of the wide areas.
And if Ancelotti is looking for more of a midfielder to fill the other side, while he proved the other night he has discipline.

He’s not a natural midfielder so maybe doesn’t know the role when he’s deep.

Yes agree with most of what you said he does need to produce more, he is definitely capable of doing this with both goals & assists...

He does seem to be injury prone since he moved to Everton & maybe this has been the reason we have not seen the best of him...

Motivation is part of the manager's job & I am sure Ancellotti does not need fans booing & screaming insults at our players to de-motivate them...

He was basically playing RB against the RS. Watch how Coleman moved when we had the ball. He didn't push on down the flank. Instead he came deeper and more central. Iwobi was asked to take up the spot where Coleman usually would have been.

We did this to try and draw them on and get better matchups for longer balls forward. I don't think Carlo ever believed we could play through them and didn't really try. And we have people here asking why Iwobi didn't do more with the ball when in reality the entire team was doing things that weren't supposed to put him in positions to do things with it.

It wouldnt be my style nor would i be a fan of anyone booing or insulting players mate, agreed.

I do think Iwobi needs to be held to a standard though, he strikes me as someone who is laid back on and off the pitch and things have come to him fairly easily, there is a bit of motivation and fight that comes with a challenge and adversity that i think he needs.

His decision making and layzee fare attitude always strike me and is frustrating as it often puts us on the back foot, i have seen him have excellent games for Arsenal. He needs to be held to a standard, consequences and he needs to fight more for a position here in my opinion. He just seems so laid back and devil may care. Its all to get the best out of him, i know there is an effective impactful player in there.

Im not just talking about sunday but generally since hes been here.

I get how we set up and Ancellotti’s tactics, but it’s not something he’s going to be doing much of in the future I wouldn imagine. 5 or 6 games a season?.

As if he’s continuing with this 442. And 352 out of possession. Then no point in targeting a RW.

I think that he is a very good team player, as witnessed by his performance on Sunday evening.
He is probably a player more appreciated by a manager than fans.

I do agree that sometimes he drifts out of games and he needs to work on that but he is young enough to improve, but I think he will be one of the big players for CA , playing most weeks.

You see, i get he job on a Sunday, but i expect a professional footballer to keep a shape as instructed, he wasnt sublime in doing this in my opinion - it wasnt a standout performance. I thought his touch on Sunday was heavy, i thought his distribution was lazy and i though his decision making was bad and he wasn't able to keep up with the pace of the play in a way that Richarlison, DCL, Davies and others were, in fact i thought Gordon was more up to the pitch then him. I get he may be rusty but you can say that about everyone and hes 24, not in his 30's.

I like Iwobi, maybe thats why im being harsh because i believe he has the talent for much much better then hes showing and he frustrates me that he thinks that he is cutting muster - hes not, he needs a size 8 up the back side and more challenge, adversity and motivation - because there is more to him. But what he has shown thus far raises the type of questions im asking and he needs to be held to a standard in my opinion, not just on Sunday but since he arrived.

Gordon was more up the pitch then him because that is exactly what the tactics called for. Digne pushed on which pushed Gordon up too. Seamus did not and that meant Iwobi had to hold a bit deeper.

I meant to the pitch of the game.
Oh I got you now. Thought they were very similar tbh. I know they are at different points career wise but I do find it a bit odd how far apart the appraisals of their performances are when both were pretty unspectacular, get the job done efforts.

You'd have to cut Gordon an awful lot of slack mate, on age and number of senior minutes.
