Nah, Martinez barely spent anything that first year and winter as there was the whole "he's saving it for Lukaku" thing. We spent quite a bit but of the 8-12m range, nothing anywhere near Lukaku levels tho. These days it seems like every player we buy is more than him tho ffs..

It's a puzzler. I liked the glimpses I saw of him at Arsenal though they were limited glimpses and I think he might have something to offer in a more central role as he's just not a wide midfielder.

On balance though I reckon Ancelotti might know a bit more about it than me.

I struggle to see were he could fit in , in a 4-4-2 system. The same goes for Siguardsson. I think Carlo would sell both this summer if he could.
