You don't need pace to play number 10 mate, it's probably the position you can get away with having no pace the most.

It definitely is a character problem.

I don’t think you need pace, but you do need to be nimble and agile, because that is an area of the park where you will be hounded as soon as the ball gets to your feet. Gylfi gets outpaced, outmuscled and basically bullied out of the game.

I don’t know that he isn’t suffering from a confidence crisis, but it is as much a footballing problem as a character crisis. It’s so obvious that he’s no longer cut out for this league, he struggles with the pace of play massively and can’t influence the run of play at all.

Do you know what the word "and" means?

Not quite sure if you are being this stupid on purpose here.

You said he's not suited to playing number 10 because he's slow and doesn't find space

I was pointing out that you don't need to be fast to play in the number 10 role, therefore one of your two points is incorrect? Am I missing something

No I agree with all that, but just that you don't need to be particularly fast to play there, it's all about getting on the ball and unlocking defences, but he's literally scared to get on the ball!

We ended up with Iwobi, after being priced out for Zaha by a greedy Crystal Palace.
Reading Zaha's Wiki page for the years he was Iwobi's age is interesting, looking at his goals and assists show he wasn't ripping up trees then either.
We were prepared to pay a lot for an older version of Iwobi, both ended up having terrible seasons.
So I guess the point is we could have been in a worse position.
At least Iwobi has years on his side I suppose.

Thats just means we have more years of misery to endure.
Ancelotti didnt even put in on the bench in the last game. So there's hope yet.

Looking like he'll be another Stephen Hughes. I'm struggling to think of many youth products that Arsenal cast off who do brilliantly. Yet there's a ready queue of suckers ready to buy them.
The problem with Iwobi is I can’t see him really improving too much. He doesn’t look like a raw footballer that has much room to grow. All of his weaknesses look to be in the mental aspect of the game.
