You can't blame him at all today - he got brought on and played in two systems which it was crystal clear that not one Everton player had worked on in training for a second.

It all comes back to atrocious management.

Has to start for me. He looks head and shoulders our best attacking player. Put siggy on the bench for a few games (months would be better). Iwobi has something to his game that creates space and he actually has the bravery to venture into the middle of the pitch and not just feed it out wide like the rest of our no mark attack.

Behind a paywall but I still want to share it. Basic point is Iwobi is really good at linking with teammates and as such should be automatically in the team either for Bernard or Sigurdsson. He also suggests potentially having the team be Richarlison back on the left and Walcott down the right which might actually work if Iwobi can link play properly.

The other suggestion is playing Iwobi as a deeper box to box type player to mask his lack or goals which obviously won't work if we don't change formation. It doesn't look like that's happening but still something to think about.

I can't copy and paste it from my phone but he only mentioned briefly that it might be good to move Richarlison back to the left, Iwobi down the center and then Walcott is left for the right.
