He has been so much worse than Walcott on that right hand side, he clearly can only use his right foot and loves cutting in so why is he not playing on the left. The only game I've seen him actually be a continuous threat in was west ham last season and think he was playing centrally in that.
Even James Forrest would have been a better signing IMO

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of us spending 30 million and getting nothing back on the pitch.
If he had done it a second time then people would be asking the hard questions they should be of him.

I'm pretty sure there is or the players we are signing would actually fit together in some discernible way. We're just blindfolded chucking darts at the board. It's fault on both sides, Silva and Ancelotti didn't and/or don't know what they want and Brands isn't doing a good enough job of making sure the players at least somewhat fit.
Who did we sign that Carlo didn't want? Or Silva for that matter.
From my POV every signing has made sense.

That's not what I'm saying.
I'm saying he's not giving Brands a clear picture of what he wants to do so we can signs players for it.
Look at our midfield. Brands has signed everyone we can use but Gylfi and Davies. The only player even resembling a true #6 is Davies. So really you are forced to play a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 type shape with two defensive midfielders. And even then none of the combinations really solve all the issues you need the players in that position to solve.
Now is that because Brands messed up? Certainly some of it, but for me the inability to pin down what we want to do also makes the task much harder.
Delph, Allan, Gmblammo are all 6s, Davies isn't a 6.
But forget it, we are so apart that I cba with 6 pages.
