Not a wide player but I am wondering if he could replace Gomez in the midfield 3

I actually think he might be better to the role he is playing right now. He has to prove he can be composed in the middle and he didn’t do that the other week when he made that cameo.

Not sure what to make of Iwobi. Sometimes he looks like has never played football before. Other times he looks quite decent. Needs to start being consistent. If he did he would be an important squad player

Hes consistently inconsistent. But he does find incisive passes at times. A great cut back for James and a lovely pass to put Doucoure in behind.

It's just getting him to find that sort of play more regularly, but i can see why Ancelotti wants him in the squad.

Frustrating player because he doesn't punish the opposition by attacking the space when he's got the ball at his feet, and he's clearly the weak point of the press when we're trying to recover possession. But his abilities around the box in terms of vision, weight of pass and his jinking unpredictability means he constantly makes things happen, and so will always pose a threat..

Certainly better in field than out wide, No pace or tricks to beat a man but good at first time passes and interchanges

Strange player...at times he looks very good and then next he cant control a simple ball...needs consistency. Not sure if its a concentration issue but needs to be more consistent.

Yeah I'd agree with that, although most of his game time came as a left forward whilst at Arsenal. Question remains as to whether he can play the role of '8' instead of Gomes when the games are tight and not so end-to-end, and you face periods under the cosh where you have to play conservatively and prioritise ball retention when trying to break a team down. Hopefully his general decision making improves if he gets a decent run of games, because he's got some really unique attributes which could make him a very effective player if he can just add an element of consistency..
