What I will say is that I expect Iwobi to start when Richarlison is not available. Carlo has chosen him every time. Whether when Richy was hurt or when making a regular in game substitution. I would be surprised if all of the sudden he relies on Bernard.

Massively different players. what I will say is Digne has a very good partnership and understanding with Bernard, they were awesome in their first season.

I'm sure and I usually prefer skilled players over speed and power. I'm just pointing out that Iwobi has been ahead in the rotation all season long. Would be surprised if Bernard is the one called upon to replace Richy.
 

When you look at Bernards goals against Fleetwood, Palace & West Ham- whilst they are few and far between the little fella can be a handful on his day.

I trust Carlo but I think in games without Richarlison we could still do with someone like Bernie who links up well with Digne and can give the opposition something to think about.

What day has he been a handful? He did nothing in either of the PL matches aside from the goals. They were great goals.

Bernard lost his way under Ancelotti's 442 but in the current set up with a defence that can now give him the ball I think he would do well out there - James on one flank with Bernard & Digne on the other.

It's obviously gonna be Iwobi starting the next 3 games but I see nothing in his performances to justify him being ahead of Bernard.

Yes he's more physical than Bernard and less likely to be brushed off the ball but with Richarlison out we still need a threat in the final 3rd and Bernard offers that more than Iwobi who just isn't a wide player.

Ideally we need better than both long term.

Bernard offers no threat. Never has.
