Still don't trust him, last two and half matches are proof of that. Better today against mid to low Place team. At 26 he is a senior player who still goes missing. Maybe decent season will get us interest and a return on him.

He's been pretty much at the heart of everything good we've done this season.

Understand your point to a degree but against Man U and Spurs he was having to do a lot more in our own half rather than being further up. Poor against Newcastle but so was everyone else.

If you won't trust a player who has a couple of poor performances on the bounce in two poor team performances then you aren't going to trust many players.

I only saw the 2nd half so can't say with certainty but he certainly seemed to be playing ahead of the midfield 2 rather than stuck deep in there with them as he has done the last couple of games. Could have been tactical or merely the opportunity presented when the team can make the ball stick a little better up front.
