Again to repeat, I'm not saying we can't or won't replace, but for a side that created next to nothing last season, he was by far our most creative player.
We cant simply take the money and put it in the stadium coffers, we need to be looking to improve with this sale not get weaker.

The club could have saved a lot of money by leaving him in centre midfield and not buying three replacements that have failed to improve results or performances, but there's no point keeping him around now as he's only ever going to be picked out wide.

I mean he is obviously not an "awful" footballer or anything.

Got some ability along with some poor decision making. Realistically he is pretty average.

The issue has and always will be how much we paid for him and how much he is on and he won't get away from that. He is a massive reminder of where we have gone wrong for the past few seasons regardless of if he has been OKish.

He isn't the only one at the club of course.

Averages 2.5 goals a season. Is lazy, has a bad attitude and makes poor decisions. 1 year left on his contract and not signing a contact after stealing a living for years.

He won’t be missed.
