Yep, kind of, but I don't see aliens and life as the same thing. I'm sure there are all sorts of bacteria throughout the universe that can be classed as "life". I'm talking about fully formed creatures flying a spacecraft across the sky etc., no I'm not convinced.

This assumes that any aliens would travel by conventional means (i.e. - spacecraft).

I think advanced civilisations that are mature enough for intergalactic travel will have transcended the material and will travel through astral projection. No need for actual physical travel across uncountable light years, some alien lad could literally just sit in a hut, meditate and project his consciousness in to the Lower Gladwys while Everton struggle to break down a stoic Rotherham defence if he really wanted to.
